About

What this is.

LiveInPH answers the money questions about living in the Philippines with numbers you can check: what a thing costs, where the figure came from, and when it was last verified.

We publish cost breakdowns, neighborhood guides, and utility setup information based on verified data. Every figure carries the source it came from and the date we checked it.

How we publish

  • Every price is a range, timestamped. Your electricity bill depends on AC usage. Your rent depends on the neighborhood. We show the spread and note when we checked.
  • Named specifics, not categories. Real neighborhoods (IT Park, Lahug, Lanang), real providers (VECO, MCWD, DLPC), real rates.
  • Constraint-first, not optimistic. What's hard, what's broken, what will surprise you. If MCWD pressure is unreliable in upper Talamban, we say so.
  • Verified before published. Cost figures and data points cite a source, with a data-source audit file behind them wherever the data supports one.

Who this is for

Expats considering a move to the Philippines. Expats already here figuring out costs. Remote workers evaluating cities. Retirees deciding where to land. Anyone who needs real numbers to make a real decision.

Editorial independence

We don't accept payment for placement or reviews. If we link to a service, it's because we think it's useful, not because someone paid us. If that ever changes, we'll disclose it clearly.
