Davao Electricity Rate Series (Davao Light ₱/kWh) — monthly billing cycles
The Davao Light and Power Company (DLPC) residential all-in rate in pesos per kWh for Davao City, recorded per announced billing cycle (roughly the 12th of one month to the 11th of the next). An original longitudinal series on the same cycle basis as the VECO and MORE Power series, so the three cities are directly comparable: every point is dated and attributed to the named report that carries it, with no interpolation between cycles.

Read this before citing a figure
SOURCING CAVEAT — Davao Light publishes no readable residential rates page: davaolight.com/rates returns HTTP 404 and earlier checks returned HTTP 400. Every point in this series therefore reaches the public record through NAMED SECONDARIES (Mindanao Times, SunStar Davao, Manila Bulletin, GMA Regional TV, Bombo Radyo Davao) reporting the utility's own announcement, rather than through a peso figure the utility itself publishes. The current cycle is carried by three independent outlets in agreement and is recorded at confidence MEDIUM, not HIGH. Source precision also varies between outlets — four decimal places from GMA Regional TV, two from Mindanao Times and SunStar — and every figure is stored exactly as published, with no rounding applied in either direction, so the decimal places in this file are the reporting outlet's, not ours.

Provenance & limitations
Source. Davao Light via Mindanao Times, 2026-07-19 — July 11 to August 10, 2026 cycle . Method. Recorded from Davao Light rate announcements as reported by named Mindanao news outlets, one point per announced billing cycle (~12th to ~11th, announced around the 19th–24th). Figures are stored exactly as the reporting outlet published them, which is why precision varies between two and four decimal places across the series — no rounding is applied in either direction. No back-fill, no interpolation: a cycle no source reports stays out of the series.
Known limitations — published as a feature, not a footnote:
- All-in residential rate; a specific bill varies with consumption tier and bracket.
- Davao Light publishes no readable peso rates page — davaolight.com/rates returns HTTP 404 — so no point in this series is sourced to the utility's own publication. The utility does post monthly figures to its official Facebook page; no post is claimed as a primary here because none was located.
- The most recent points are confidence MEDIUM rather than HIGH for that reason, even though three independent outlets agree on the figure.
- Source precision varies between outlets (four decimal places from GMA Regional TV, two from Mindanao Times and SunStar) and is stored as published rather than normalised, so decimal places are not comparable point to point.
- The December 2025 point is a dated value stated inside the January 2026 announcement, not a back-filled estimate.
- Davao Light serves Davao City, Panabo City, Carmen, Dujali and Santo Tomas in Davao del Norte. Rates elsewhere in the Davao Region are set by other distribution utilities and are not covered here.
- The rate moves monthly with WESM generation, NGCP transmission, NPC-PSALM hydro, Therma South coal and ERC pass-throughs — treat the latest point as the current cycle, not as a stable rate.
