Cebu Staple Food Prices (PSA Cebu price survey) — wholesale ₱/kg, with the retail gap stated

Cebu staple-food prices from the PSA Cebu price survey, in pesos per kilo. These are WHOLESALE averages, not retail shelf prices: PSA-7 regional retail ₱/kg could not be retrieved from a primary source, so the retail figure is published here as a stated gap rather than estimated.

as of 2026-04 coverage 2026-04 Cebu, Philippines Monthly (hard staleness 6 months)

Read this before citing a figure

WHOLESALE, NOT RETAIL. Every price in this dataset is a PSA Cebu WHOLESALE average (April 2026), not a retail shelf price. PSA-7 regional/Cebu RETAIL ₱/kg for recent months could not be retrieved from a primary source (PSA OpenSTAT is a JS shell and psa.gov.ph / rsso07.psa.gov.ph return HTTP 403), and the only regional-retail aggregators found are banned and were not used. Do not read these as retail prices, and do not derive a retail figure from them.

Provenance & limitations

Source. PSA Cebu price survey, via SunStar Cebu . Method. Transcribed from the PSA Cebu price survey as reported by a named primary outlet, dated to the reference month. Wholesale average prices only; retail figures a primary source does not publish are left as a stated gap, never derived.

Known limitations — published as a feature, not a footnote:

  • Wholesale averages, not retail shelf prices — a household pays more than these figures at the palengke or supermarket.
  • Cebu-specific, from the PSA Cebu price survey; not a full regional basket.
  • One reference month on record; a longitudinal series begins at the next PSA survey seeded.

Full source hierarchy, the per-figure dating rule, and the no-fabrication discipline that governs the longitudinal series: /methodology.
